Synapse Service Terms
Version 1.0 (August 2026). These terms apply to every access level on the Synapse network — festivals, artists, sponsors, BRIDGE, DATA and administrators.
1. About these terms
- These Service Terms are the agreement between you and the Synapse Festival Network (Caribbean InTransit) for use of the Festival Register, Festival Dashboard, TOWS Platform, Creative Exchange and any connected services.
- By creating an account, signing in, or continuing to use the platform you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms.
- If you are accepting on behalf of a festival, organisation, sponsor or institution, you confirm you are authorised to bind that entity.
2. Accounts and access levels
- Access is tiered: individual (festival producers, artists, attendees), sponsor, DATA, BRIDGE and Super Admin. Each tier sees only the data permitted for that tier.
- You must give accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account.
- Super Admin approval is required before Festival Register and Festival Dashboard entries appear publicly. Approval may depend on completion of the relevant intelligence form and any applicable fee.
- We may suspend or withdraw access where terms are breached, where data is misused, or where an account is inactive or fraudulent.
3. Your content and data
- You keep ownership of the festival, artist, sponsor and organisational content you upload, including images, logos, documents and intelligence responses.
- You grant Synapse a non-exclusive licence to host, display, back up and process that content in order to run the platform and the services you request.
- Individual festival SWOT/TOWS entries remain private to your festival and Super Admin. They contribute only in anonymised, aggregated form to sector, country and regional intelligence.
- You confirm you hold the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful material.
4. Data protection and reporting
- Personal data is processed only to operate the platform, provide analytics and reporting, and communicate with you about your account.
- Downloads and report generation are logged for usage tracking, security and platform governance across all access levels.
- Aggregated, de-identified sector intelligence may be made available to DATA and BRIDGE tiers and used in published regional research.
- You must not attempt to re-identify anonymised data, scrape the platform, or redistribute another member's data without written permission.
5. Intellectual property and Creative Exchange documents
- Synapse branding, platform code, templates, taxonomies, KPI frameworks and generated strategy outputs are the intellectual property of Caribbean InTransit unless otherwise stated.
- Templates such as NDAs and MOUs are provided as drafting aids only. They are not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Documents executed on-platform are recorded with signatures, a document fingerprint and an append-only audit trail. You accept electronic signature as a valid method of execution.
- AI-assisted drafting, matching and strategy features produce suggestions that you are responsible for reviewing before use.
6. Tickets, sponsorship and payments
- Festivals are responsible for the accuracy of ticket types, pricing, capacity, refunds and delivery of the experiences they list.
- Where a festival links to an external ticketing platform, that provider's terms apply to the transaction.
- Sponsorship offers and expressions of interest made on the platform are non-binding until confirmed by both parties in writing or through an executed on-platform document.
- Subscription, listing or approval fees, where applicable, are payable in advance and are non-refundable unless required by law.
7. Acceptable use
- Use the platform lawfully and respectfully; no harassment, discrimination, misrepresentation or spam in matching, chat or applications.
- Do not upload malware, attempt to bypass access controls, or use automated tools to extract data.
- Artist Mobility applications, sponsor offers and collaboration requests must be genuine and made in good faith.
8. Availability, liability and changes
- The platform is provided on an "as available" basis. We work to keep it running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free analytics.
- To the extent permitted by law, Synapse is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from decisions made on the basis of platform intelligence.
- We may update these terms as the network grows. Material changes will be notified and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, without prejudice to mandatory local consumer rights.
9. Contact
